About the SJVCCC

Established 1955

The goal of San Joaquin Valley Camera Club Council is to encourage and develop Photography as a hobby in the Central Valley area. The council consists of camera clubs from Bakersfield to Modesto.

They are:
Selma Chroma, Fresno, Madera, Merced, Modesto, Taft, Stockton, Tracy and Bakersfield. All members of these camera clubs are automatically members of council, and are encouraged to participate in the monthly meetings and competitions.

San Joaquin Valley Camera Club Council meetings are held on the second Sunday of each month, except June, July and August, unless otherwise posted. January is the business meeting and no competitions are scheduled. Each club hosts one meeting a year. December will be the Annual Awards Luncheon.

The meetings are held at the Ramada hotel on Shaw Avenue just east of Highway 41 in Fresno. A buffet lunch, coffee and donuts are available for $17. Council
meetings begin at 10:00 a.m. and usually end around 2:00 p.m.

A workshop may be scheduled for one month and usually a field trip for another.

Meetings begin at 10:00 AM. However, members entering slides and prints are to arrive by 9:30 AM to allow the Division Chairmen time to process the entries. There is always a PSA qualified judge present to give commentary.
